WaPo article about Woodside Estates

Woodside Estates, the neighborhood that Woodside Lake is located in, was just featured in the “Where We Live” feature of the Washington Post’s real estate section. Being in such close proximity to Woodside Lake is one of the things that makes Woodside Estates such a great neighborhood. Of course, you don’t have to live in Woodside Estates anymore to become a Woodside Lake members. Many of our members now live in areas adjacent to Woodside Estates. But being able to walk to the lake sure is nice!

Lake Spring Clean-Up, Sunday May 9th

Please join us on Saturday, May 9th, from 9am until mid-afternoon, for the Lake spring clean-up. Pitch in and help get Woodside Lake ready for the summer season. We’ll be doing the normal leaf raking, trash pick-up, beach clean-up, cutting back branches, etc. We’ll also spreading new sand on the beach. And in anticipation of new plantings in the Lake area, we are going to need to clear out all the weeds and invasive species from a few target areas. This will be labor intensive work, so WE NEED ALL THE HELP WE CAN GET.

If your kids and any of their friends need community service hours for school, send them to Woodside Lake on May 9th.

We’ll have some tools, but also please bring your own work gloves, yard clipper, rakes, shovels, etc. if you can.

The Lake Association will provide water and light snacks.
